Prohibited practices & account rules
News trading
Exploiting news volatility (straddles, strangles, disguised news trades) is prohibited. Tier 1 news is stricter: Pro Sim Funded, Rapid EOD and Rapid accounts can't hold positions 2 minutes before or after a T1 release; Builder accounts are unrestricted.
Automated trading & EAs
High-frequency trading is banned. Automated strategies are allowed only if they don't exploit simulator fills, and live-account automation must follow CME guidelines.
2% price limit rule
Trading is blocked when a product is within 2% of its CME price limit, on both Sim and Live Funded accounts.
Cross instrument policy
Orders exceeding the allowed size on a single instrument are auto-rejected. Combining instruments to bypass the overall contract limit is not permitted, even if it would technically execute.
Overnight holding & trading hours
Trading runs 6:00 PM–4:10 PM EST. Overnight holding isn't allowed — open trades are auto-closed at 4:10 PM EST without counting as a breach.
Inactivity rule
At least one trade is required every 7 consecutive calendar days on Evaluation and Sim Trading accounts, or the account may be deemed dormant and closed.
